The Week in Geek: 8/25 - 8/30

In case you missed it, here's what happened last week on GEEK MONKEY (click the highlighted portion to read the post)... 

• I took a couple minutes to introduce myself and talk a little bit about why I blog and what I want to do with the new site.
• I made a random mix off of my iPod in conjunction with Sean over at Spectacular Views.
• I talked about how much I love HBO's The Wire, and talked about a couple scenes that in my mind transformed the show from "good" to "great".
• I wrote up a review of the latest Stephen King/Richard Bachman novel, Blaze.
• I also talked a little about how my comic book heroes changed as I grew older in my review of Tom de Haven's novel It's Superman.
• I participated in my second film quiz over at Sergio Leone and the Infield Fly Rule.
